WINTER GRILL STORAGE GUIDE

Step 1 | Clean Your Grill

  • Deep clean your grill grates
  • Protect grill grates from rust by coating them in high heat oil
  • Empty your grease cup, if your grill has one
  • Remove ignition battery from your electric starter, if your grill has one

Step 2 | Get Your Grill Storage Ready

  • Properly winterize your grill to protect it from pests
  • Clean and wrap any venturi and tube burner in plastic to keep insects out
  • Check control knobs, the coupling nut of your regulator, underneath grates and drip pans for pests
  • Inspect your grill for any damage, cracks, or broken parts. Replace them now, so you can get to grilling faster in the spring
  • Protect your grill from the elements and pests with a properly sized grill cover

Step 3 | Grill Storage

  • Store your grill in a cool, dry place. Shelter is from rain or snow if possible
  • Make sure to disconnect and remove propane tank
  • If you store your grill in your garage or shed, make sure to leave the propane tank outside! The propane tank can withstand temperatures of -50°F
  • Check on your grill throughout the winter to make sure no pests have moved in
